Buena Fe duet honors Cuban ballet

With the clip “Quién Olvidó”, the Buena Fe duet honors Cuban ballet and three of its prominent figures

Havana, Sep 5 (Radio Habana Cuba) The Cuban duet Buena Fe will soon launch on their YouTube channel the audiovisual of the song Quién Olvidó, in English “Who forgot”.

It is a tribute to ballet and three exceptional figures from the Cuban ballet sphere -the prima ballerina assoluta Alicia Alonso, the dancer Fernando Alonso, and the recently deceased maître Ramona de Saá, who for a long time directed the National Ballet School.

The videoclip is also work of the photographer Gabriel Dávalos and the director Leandro de la Rosa.

In statements to the press, Dávalos expressed that the new material essentially talks about dance based on the evolution of society.

With the clip, the authors intended to convey the feeling of escaping the aesthetic beauty of a discipline usually associated with the elite, to break into people’s daily lives.

According to Israel Rojas, leading voice of Buena Fe, the composition brings back to memory those who perpetuated a mark on our lives, while the clip provokes “the search for a place where we experience happiness”.
