Cuba’s Deputy Prime Minister thanks Mexican agency programs

Mexico City, Oct 5 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, Oscar Pérez-Oliva, expressed gratitude today for the programs implemented on the island by the Mexican Agency for International Cooperation for Development (Amexcid).

According to a statement from the Embassy of the Caribbean nation in this capital, among these initiatives, Sembrando Vida stands out, which has benefited producers in various areas of the country, with a positive impact on the population.

Pérez-Oliva participated, as part of the international guests, in the commemorative event “Amexcid: 15 years of cooperating and sharing the best of Mexico”, held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The deputy prime minister was accompanied by the deputy foreign minister, Josefina Vidal, and the ambassador from Havana here, Eugenio Martínez.

During his brief stay in Mexico, Pérez-Oliva held meetings with authorities and businesspeople, to whom he also conveyed details of the economic and social transformations implemented in the largest of the Antilles.
