Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez denounced the intensification of the energy blockade and US sanctions against the island , which harm the well-being of the people.
Before the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the official stressed that the restrictions and coercive persecution imposed on fuel tankers amount , under the principles of International Law, to a de facto naval blockade, which they consider a hostile action comparable to an act of war.
He asserted that these actions by the Donald Trump Administration “have a human face; the economic war being waged threatens the lives of Cubans.”
The Cuban foreign minister also denounced the withholding of cargo ships and essential resources , which exacerbates the needs of the island’s inhabitants.
