Havana, Nov 18 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban Government congratulated the authorities and people of Latvia on their National Holiday on Monday. We congratulate the people and government of the Republic of Latvia on its National Holiday, the Cuban Foreign Ministry said in a message on X.
We ratify our will to continue to expand relations between our nations, the text added.
Latvia’s National Holiday celebrates the Proclamation of Independence by the National People’s Council on November 18, 1918.
Cuba and Latvia established relations officially on December 20, 1991, after the demise of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR).
