Islamabad, Oct 13 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban ambassador to Pakistan, Damián Cordero Torres, thanked Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher for the Holy See’s historic support against the United States blockade of his country, the Embassy highlighted today.
The meeting took place in this capital as part of the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and the Holy See.
During the meeting, the Cuban official expressed appreciation for the Vatican’s historical position in favor of eliminating the US blockade against Cuba and for its willingness to mediate in the search for a constructive dialogue.
The exchange took place in the context of the official visit to Pakistan by His Excellency Paul Richard Gallagher, Secretary for Relations with States and International Organizations of the Holy See, to participate in the major bilateral commemoration.
