
Havana, 7 jun (Prensa Latina) The 100 percent Cuban-owned company Industrias Nexus S.A. and the Chinese entity Hangzhou Iunke Industrial Development Co., LTD, today formed the new joint venture DuoNex S.A.
In a press release, Industrias Nexus S.A. explains that DuoNex S.A. has as its corporate object the development, production and marketing of footwear and leather goods, saddlery, plastics and textiles.
The text adds that in future it is planned to bring together other important light industry products for marketing on the domestic market and export.
The signing took place at the headquarters of the company Tecnosime, chaired by the Cuban general manager of Industrias NEXUS S.A., Marilyn Maqueira, and by the president of Hangzhou Iunke Industrial Development Co., LTD,Huang Qiaoming on the foreign side.
The event was also attended by managers from the Ministry of Industries, the Light Industry Business Group and other entities belonging to the sector; as well as the companies already constituted of the Industrial Marketing Project China – Latin America, PICLA.
The document underlines the historical relationship between Cuba and China, with more than six decades of cooperation and solidarity, whose consolidation in recent years is evidenced by the increase in bilateral trade and the establishment of key projects in sectors such as renewable energies, technology, infrastructure and logistics.
