Tourism sector in Cuba for innovations and more income

Havana, Mar 2 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero today called on tourism workers to deploy innovative initiatives to improve the sector and generate more income, ACN reported.

In a conversation with representatives of that group, the head of government explained the current context that the Caribbean island is experiencing, described by its authorities as one of creative resistance in a war economy imposed by successive United States administrations.

The member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party and Secretary General of the Cuban Workers’ Union, Ulises Guilarte, and the head of the branch, Juan Carlos García, accompanied the prime minister, the Cuban News Agency (ACN) reported.

On the eve of the celebration of Tourism Workers’ Day on March 4 in this Caribbean nation, the minister urged those attending the meeting to share experiences and contribute ideas that strengthen the so-called “locomotive of the Cuban economy.”
