Venezuelan President Announces Official Visit to Cuba

Caracas, Apr 20 (Prensa Latina) Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro today announced an official visit to Cuba, where he plans to meet with the new Cuban head of State, Miguel Diaz-Canel.

Speaking at a press conference with national and international media at the Simon Bolivar Maiquetia Airport, in the state of Vargas, Maduro noted that at his meeting with Diaz-Canel, he will propose initiatives for the future, as well as for the sisterhood and unity between the two countries.

‘In order to solidify the human, economic, energetic and historic alliance between Cuba and Venezuela,’ Maduro noted.

He added that he will give a hug to former President Raul Castro to express his affection and acknowledgment of his performance at the helm of the country and due to Cuba’s outstanding role for Latin American integration through projects like the Bolivarian alliance for the Peoples of Our Americas-People’s Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) and Petrocaribe.
