The Syrian leader highlights Cuba’s great contribution to the cause of law and justice to achieve the principles of equality in the world, and the establishment of friendship with the Syrian Arab people to face injustice and terrorism.
Damascus, April 24 (Prensa Latina) Syrian president Bashar Al-Assad has sent Tuesday a congratulatory message to Miguel Diaz-Canel on behalf of the Syrian government and people for his election as president of the Councils of State and Ministers of Cuba.
After wishing him success in his executive duties, Al Assad underscores his trust that their governments will reinforce friendly and collaboration ties for the benefit of the two friendly nations.
“I reaffirm my congratulations, wishing you health, success and happiness, and to the friendly Cuban people much progress and prosperity,” the Syrian President stresses in his message.
Syrian President Sends Fraternal Message to Raul Castro
Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad also sent today a message to the ex-President of Cuba, Raul Castro, expressing deep affection and respect.
In the missive, addressed to the first secretary of the Cuban Communist Party, the Syrian ruler expresses to Raul his wishes for good health and a long life, and wishes for the combative Cuban people greater progress and properity.
‘The faithful Cuban people will not forget your great sacrifices in the service of the Homeland and its important causes and your tenacious determination to achieve the highest levels of justice, freedom and the strengthening of Cuba’s place among the countries of the world,’ the text points out.
He also appreciates the personal efforts of the Cuban leader in strengthening the policy of the friendly State, ‘beside the just causes of our country.’
It also highlights his great contribution to the establishment of the basis of friendship with the Syrian Arab people to face injustice, terrorism and to achieve the principles of equality in the world.
President Al-Assad further expresses in the letter to Raul his important role in the victory of the causes of law and justice.
He also recognizes his courageous positions in the defense of the aforementioned causes, which go along the path of the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, ‘carrying the flag of the peoples who are fighting, so that his combatant family has the rightful place among the great.’
