Havana, May 3 (Prensa Latina) More than 500 delegates from some twenty countries will participate in this capital city from May 7th to 11th in the 10th International Meeting of Psychology Students, said organizers of the biennial event.
Rosabel Escandon, a fifth-year student at the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Havana and one of the members of the Organizing Committee told Prensa Latina that the event is outlined by students and for students seeking to share experiences reached in this subject all over the world.
According to Escandon, some 400 foreign participants have confirmed their presence in the event, most of them from Latin America, with numerous delegations from Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.
‘This year we have for the first time the participation of delegates from Italy and Haiti,’ she said.
Meanwhile, Daniela Escobar praised the international meeting, as it represents a forum to share experiences on psychology, from the point of view of students settled in various regions in the world.
Escobar, also fifth-year student, said that there will be eight commissions to tackle subjects as family, gender and sexuality, neuropsychology and psychology in the cognitive, educational, clinical, legal and social and community sectors.
