Peru Ratifies its Historic Stance Against US Blockade on Cuba

Lima, Sep 19 (Prensa Latina) Peruvian Foreign Minister Nestor Popolizio ratified his country’s historic position of support for the resolution against the blockade of Cuba to be voted on next October, as every year, at the United Nations.

The Minister confirmed this decision during a visit by the Cuban ambassador to Peru, Sergio Gonzalez, who thanked him for the gesture coinciding with the will of the international community to demand that the United States respect the principles of the United Nations Charter and international law.

At the meeting, the Minister and the Ambassador expressed their satisfaction with the excellent state of the bilateral relationship, which opens up possibilities for exchanges and cooperation in the fields of health, sport and culture.
