Managua, Sep 2 (Prensa Latina) A caravan demanding peace and justice for the victims of coup-plotting terrorism will be held today in the Nicaraguan capital, in the midst of the sociopolitical crisis the country have been facing for over four months.
The Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN) summoned the people to parade from 08:30 local time in the capital’s roundabout Cristo Rey.
The mobilization promotes respect for life and human rights for all, after the failed coup that resulted in the death of 198 people, hundreds of injured and severe economic damage, according to government figures.
The majority of Nicaraguans demand punishment for criminals and calls for a return to tranquility, stability and well-being, interrupted by violent opposition groups that sought to overthrow the government.
The FSLN also calls for reconciliation and love among nationals as the only possible alternative to consolidate the people’s will for peace
