Cayo Santa Maria,Cuba May 5 (Prensa Latina) Cuban tourism magazine Cuba Internacional, a main magazine of the news agency Prensa Latina, is now circulating in the 38th edition of the International Tourism Fair FIT 2018.
The publication, distributed in the venue where the event is held until May 5, has been well received, said Víctor Landa, commercial vice-president of the news agency.
Landa said that tour operators, tourists and, in general, participants in the event, praised the interesting content, the quality of the printing and design.
Luis Enrique González, president of Prensa Latina, highlighted the return to the printed edition of Cuba Internacional, ‘a historical project, born in 1960 under the name of INRA (National Institute of Agrarian Reform), with the firm purpose of spreading the progress of the Cuban process, in the middle of the ironclad defamatory campaign against the Cuban Revolution.’
Gonzalez reminded that Cuba Internacional, from 1962 to 1969, was always published, because of the interest it had among Cuban citizens and foreigners.
He said that the economic difficulties of the country, which also affected the news agency, forced them to keep the magazine in its digital version since 2006, though it had a printed circulation in Venezuela until 2012.
Prensa Latina now responds to the demand since now on, with a weekly frequency.
‘We want this to fill the empty space there was for many years, and make the magazine as much longed to as in decades before, taking the communicative, cultural, historical and graphic values that lead us to reflect the reality of Cuba,’ said Gonzalez.
The publication is showing works about topics such the continuity of the Cuban Revolution, the participation of Cuba and Bolivia in the Summit of the Americas and other topics in this number, such as movie, music and sports.
