Iran Accuses U.S.A. of Using Depleted Uranium against Syria

‘And currently, with the pretext of an alleged chemical attack by the Syrian Government against the city of Douma in Eastern Guta, the United States and its allies France and the United Kingdom bombed facilities in Syria.’

Tehran, Apr 21 (Prensa Latina) Iran accused today the United States of using shells with depleted uranium in the April 14th attack on Syria.

Iranian parliamentarian Heshmatola Falahat Pisheh urged the specialized agencies of the United Nations to investigate the use of depleted uranium, which causes cancer and births of children with anomalies.

He said that the United States used depleted uranium during its invasion to Iraq, the same way Israel used it against the Palestinian people.

‘And currently, with the pretext of an alleged chemical attack by the Syrian Government against the city of Douma in Eastern Guta, the United States and its allies France and the United Kingdom bombed facilities in Syria’, he said.

Pisheh, member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Iranian Parliament, also referred to similar weapons used by Saudi Arabia against Yemen, and said that the United States violated the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.
