Havana, Nov 8 (Prensa Latina) The 13th International Day of the Association of Cuban Lawyers develops on Thursday the second day of work in which about 100 professionals in the sector discuss several issues of legal interest.
The event is sponsored by the Ministry of Justice of the island and the central theme is related to the conventions on the rights of the child and of persons with disabilities, in addition to the notarial action.
In statements to Prensa Latina, Olga Lidia Perez, head of the Society of the Cuban Lawyers Office, stressed the need to study the aforementioned conventions, as there are few matters dealt with at international events.
‘We wanted to dedicate our scientific works to the analysis of these agreements from a view of the notarial function, by the paper and the social occupation that we have,’ Perez said.
She added that they currently work on how to reduce processes and simplify terms in the provision of notarial services for the population to develop their legal relationships normally.
The jurists also debate on notarial actions in the implementation of actions that include the rights of people in vulnerable situations and analyze the challenges for the professionals of this specialty in the island on the inherent rights to the personality, under the prism of the self-protection, as well as the challenges of the Cuban family before the population aging, among other topics.
