Las Tunas, Cuba, Mar 30 (Prensa Latina) An event dedicated to the guitar ensembles in Cuba, was held in this eastern city, and the closing gala combined the classic with the new things.
Maybe, the mostly known work by Cuban composer Eduardo Saborit, called “Cuba, Que Linda Es Cuba” summarized the passion for the guitar.
This event was dedicated to the memory of Jesus Ortega, a master of different generations of guitarists, who directed a show, including a space for rock music.
Ortega said he loves the blues as a musical gender but said that he missed someone who could make a blues concert with his guitar.
Las Tunas organizes this event, associated to Cuban country music and other musical variations, especially using guitar groups.
The participants said the event counts on a lot of vitality, because of the diversity of styles, repertoires and the work of composers and arrangers.
The program included master conferences and workshops.
