Havana, Jun 12 (Prensa Latina) A delegation of the French Socialist Party (PSF) visits Cuba to strengthen relations and learn about the reality of the Caribbean country, reports the island’s parliament today.
According to the digital portal of the National Assembly of People’s Power, visitors were received by Cuban deputy Alberto Núñez, secretary of the Parliament’s International Relations Committee, where they were interested in the political and electoral system of the Greater Antilles.
The delegation made up of the National Secretary of International Relations of the PSF, Mattias Fekl, the former president of the French Senate Jean Pierre Bel and the holder of the Cuba-Cooperation Association, Víctor Fernández, also inquired about the constitutional reform process underway, in the island.
In this regard, Núñez explained that earlier this month, the National Assembly created a temporary commission charged with preparing the draft reform of the Constitution, a text that will be submitted to popular consultation and subsequently to a referendum.
According to the Cuban Parliament, the PSF leaders reaffirmed their interest in continuing to consolidate the bonds of friendship and cooperation with the Caribbean nation.
