Evo Morales Reiterates Support for Cuba Against US Interventionism

La Paz, Apr 24 (Prensa Latina) Bolivian President Evo Morales reiterated today, through a message on his official Twitter account, his unrestricted support for Cuba against US interventionist attitudes.

Cuba is not alone. The peoples of the world are anti-imperialist and reject US interventionism, he stressed.

The President also highlighted Cuban resistance to US hostility.

We salute their worthy struggle against the criminal blockade of the empire, the Head of State tweeted.

He also described the Caribbean nation as ‘the most supportive country in the world’ because it sends doctors and shares knowledge in the area of health, among others, without asking for anything in return.

Morales recently visited Cuba, where he fulfilled a busy agenda that included a meeting with his newly elected counterpart Miguel Diaz-Canel and a visit to the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology of Cuba.

The Bolivian President also paid tribute to the Cuban National Hero Jose Marti in the homonymous monument located in the Square of Revolution at Havana.

During Morales’ stay on the island, both countries projected new cooperation plans and discussed issues related to the integration process in Latin America and the Caribbean.
