Cuban Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, met with U.S. senators and Democratic Party members; Claire McCaskill, from Missouri, Amy Klobuchar, from Minnesota; and Mark Warner from Virginia, reported PL.
According to the report, the participants addressed relevant topics, such as the process of reestablishing diplomatic relations between both nations and the lifting of the economic blockade, imposed by the U.S. on Cuba for more than 50 years.
Also participating on the Cuba side was Ministry of Foreign Relations General Director for the United States, Josefina Vidal. The official statement emphasizes that senator Klobuchar presented a legislative bill to Congress which aims to eliminate blockade restrictions relating to trade, travel and maritime transport, among other aspects.
