Beijing, Oct 25 (Prensa Latina) China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Thursday ratified that the friendship between his country and Cuba is unbreakable, after receiving Cuban Council of Ministers vice president, Ricardo Cabrisas.

The foreign minister assured that both states are good colleagues and friends and maintain solid and indestructible fraternal relations.

He expressed confidence that under the leadership of the Cuban Communist Party and the government, the people of that Caribbean nation will attain new achievements in their development project.

China will continue providing assistance to Cuba and is ready to strengthen bilateral cooperation in different areas, Wang said.

Cabrisas stated that his country is firmly committed to strengthening ties with China as colleagues, friends and partners.

He also expressed willingness to participate in the Belt and Road Initiative, inspired by old commercial routes to link China and other continents in a large network of infrastructure and commercial exchange.

Cabrisas, who is also Minister of Economy and Planning, is here on an official visit, prior to a trip Cuban President, Miguel Diaz-Canel, will carry out soon.

The Diaz-Canel will arrive in China as part of his first tour of Asian and European states after taking office in April.

He previously visited China in 2013 and 2015.
