Austria, Cuba Reiterate Their Willingness to Continue Cooperation

Vienna, Apr 24 (Prensa Latina) Austria and Cuba ratified today their will to continue strengthening ties in the care of women, family, and youth.

The ambassador of Cuba here, Juan Antonio Fernandez Palacios, held an audience with the Federal Minister of Women, Family, and Youth, Dr. Juliane Bogner-Strauss, at the headquarters of that portfolio in this capital in which they expressed that mutual interest and willingness.

The head of the Cuban diplomatic mission gave his hostess a greeting from the Cuban Minister of Education, Dr. Ena Elsa Velazquez Cobiella.

During the talks, Fernandez confirmed the willingness to cooperate and exchange experiences in the area of family support in education and early childhood care, in particular through the ‘Educate your child’ program, successfully applied in Cuba and other countries, for 26 years.

He also had an invitation for Bogner-Strauss to participate in the International Pedagogy Congress 2019, which will be held in Havana in February.

For her part, the Austrian minister thanked the Cuban proposals and reciprocated the desire to strengthen ties in important social sectors such as attention to women, gender equity and attention to families.
