Paris, Oct 11 (Prensa Latina) The Vice President of the National Assembly of People”s Power ( ANPP) of Cuba, Ana Maria Mari Machado, completed on Thursday an extensive work program during her official visit to France, with numerous contacts with authorities of the Senate and the French National Assembly.
The representative of the Caribbean nation held official conversations with her counterparts in the two parliamentary chambers, and also met with legislators and friendship groups.
The agenda included a meeting with Pierre Louault, Vice President of the France-Caribbean Friendship Group in the Senate, and also a talk with members of that group.
Later, she met with François-Michel Lambert, President of the France-Cuba Friendship Group in the National Assembly, and was invited to an exchange with legislators who are part of that group.
In the conversations, Mari Machado thanked the French interparliamentary groups for their clear position against the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba.
In the meetings Mari Machado was accompanied by the Cuban ambassador in France, Elio Rodriguez Perdomo, MPs of the ANPP, officials of the International Relations Department of the Cuban parliament and other officials of the Cuban embassy.
