Venezuelan VP Confirms Arrest of Terrorist Linked to Opposition

Caracas, Oct 9 (Prensa Latina) The Venezuelan Vice President Tareck El Aissami has confirmed the arrest of Yorman Linares, author of a terror attack against members of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB) in Altamira on July 30.

Known as the bomber man, Linares was responsible for the detonation of an explosive device on the day of the Constitutional National Assembly (ANC), causing first-, second- and third-degrees to eight police officers.

In this regard, El Aissami stated that the arrest of Linares is part of the results of probes that follow the arrest of the also terrorist Manuel Chacin, who led the self-called groups Resistencia (Resistance).

The Venezuelan vice president said that the so-called bomber man was captured in Miranda, where some documents linking him directly with Leopoldo Lopez were seized, who has been demanded for a review of his conviction for being responsible of the deaths of 43 people in a coup plot .

On the other hand, he reiterated that the self-called Resistance groups were planning a new sabotage strategy against public services such as electricity, water, transportation and gas stations, to cause dissatisfaction in the population and chaos in the South American nation justifying a foreign military intervention.
