Venezuela Announces International Lawsuit Against US

Maduro designated the vice-president Delcy Rodríguez, the general procurator Reinaldo Muñoz and the foreign minister Jorge Arreaza to carry out the lawsuit immediately.

Feb 11 (teleSUR) The President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, announced on Monday the beginning of an international lawsuit against the U.S. government because of the perjuries caused to national companies.

During his intervention, in the context of the Great Anti-imperialist March in Caracas,  as a support to the Venezuelan Consortium of Aeronautic Industries and Air Services and as a response to the arbitrary sanctions imposed by the U.S. Treasury Department, the mandatary said that it was already enough of the imperial attacks to Venezuelan people.

For that purpose were designated to the vice-president Delcy Rodríguez, the general procurator Reinaldo Muñoz and the foreign minister Jorge Arreaza to carry through the lawsuit immediately to international legal authorities Furthermore, Maduro said that the self-proclaimed presidentJuan Guaidó is mainly responsible for the sanctions imposed against the national airline.

As the Chief of State also explained, the decision was taken by the Trump administration to adversly affect Venezuela´s economy by damaging the main companies. About the worker’s solidarity, Maduro said in a tweet: “I congratulate the solidarity of the union organizations (…) who rally in reject to the arbitrary, illegal and obsessive imperial aggression against our main airline Conviasa”.

Conviasa was included in the sanctions list of the Treasury Department of the United States. On the other side of the conflict, the company workers requested the General Prosecutors Office to investigate Guaidó, as well as the other opposition leaders Carlos Vecchio an Julio Borges because of their actions against the airline.
