Minister Emphasizes Will to Protect Human Dignity in Cuba

Geneva, May 16 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban Revolution maintains a firm will to protect human dignity, provide equal opportunities, and conquer all justice, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez said in Geneva today.

When presenting the national report to the Universal Periodic Review of the Human Rights Council, the Cuban Foreign Minister recalled that the Revolution, led by Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, ‘continues to strive to raise the quality of life, well-being and social justice for all our people, materializing all human rights.’

During his speech, Rodríguez also said that Cuba continues to work to improve its model of economic and social development.

According to him, the objective is ‘to build a sovereign, independent, socialist, democratic, prosperous and sustainable nation, by strengthening the institutional framework of our political system, genuinely participatory, with full popular support.’
