Mexico and Cuba Together in Higher Education

Camagüey, Cuba, Dec 28 (Prensa Latina) The ties for a quarter of a century between Mexican institutions and the University of Camagüey (UC), add prestige to higher education in Cuba, with recognized professionals in several branches of knowledge.

‘Researchers and academics from Mexico arrived at this higher education institution ‘to learn from the immense wealth of knowledge that professionals have here,’ said Paula Lourdes Guerrero Rodriguez, a professor at the University of Guadalajara, who highlighted the importance of exchange between institutions.

‘We are working on research projects on topics such as tourism, accounting, economics and finance. Cuban academics go to the University Center of Economic and Administrative Sciences to participate in high-flight congresses, and the criterion of their capacity is excellent,’ said the Mexican university professor.

According to Guerrero Rodriguez, the quality of Cuban academics is beyond question.

‘Their papers excel in Economic and Administrative Sciences events, more in those organized by my university; their capacity and preparation are excellent, they are crucial for the development of both nations.

Our University has as priority the agreements with Cuba, among thousands of deals signed with the whole world’, said Guerrero Rodriguez.
