Havana, Jan 4 (Prensa Latina) The candor of Giselle will illuminate this capital next weekend through the performances of the first dancers Anette Delgado, Viengsay Valdes and Sadaise Arencibia, announced today the National Ballet of Cuba.
Alicia Alonso Grand Theater of Havana will host the functions planned for Friday, Saturday and Sunday with the participation of the main male figures Dani Hernández and Victor Estevez in the choreography, one of the best known in the panorama of the world classical ballet.
Based on the book De l’Allemagne (1835), by German writer Heinrich Heine, the work reflects the story of an innocent young woman who is surprised by the deception and confined to a dreary existence away from her beloved Albrecht.
With music by French composer Adolphe Adam, the story comes to fantasy to tell a romantic story tinged with madness, betrayal and love.
Founded in 1948 by prima ballerina assoluta Alicia Alonso and brothers Fernando and Alberto Alonso, the National Ballet of Cuba is now a benchmark for the world for its high artistic and technical level.
