Havana, May 11 (Prensa Latina) Coffee authorities in eastern Cuba have confirmed their plans to develop this product and boost grain exports.
A report released by the Cuban News Agency (ACN) stated that the Asdrubal Lopez coffee processing company, in the eastern province of Guantanamo (with commercial name Alto Serra), exceeded its commercial coffee commitments.
The center strengthens the quality levels in the production of grain destined to foreign trade and national consumption, it added.
Deliveries to the main customers of the entity (Cubaexport, Comercial Cubacafe and Cimex) are so far on average of 101 percent, commercial specialist Isaac Savon said.
The processing of the grain should conclude in June and it aims to sustain the production levels so they aspire to conclude the commercialization at the end of the semester, with a view to guaranteeing more than half of coffee exports.
