Cuba’s Most Famous Restaurant Turns 68 Years

Havana, Apr 26 (Prensa Latina) Cuba’s most famous restaurant La Bodeguita del Medio is turning 68 years old open in Old Havana, an emblematic scenario for tourism that grows here every day.

La Bodeguita del Medio bar-restaurant was opened on April 26, 1950 at Calle Empedrado #307 e/ Cuba y San Ignacio, in Old Havana. Its major attraction, in addition to food, is the more than two million signatures of foreign guests on its walls.

This establishment is a real innovation for tourists, in addition to the typical Cuban food, which has the flavor of the country’s most traditional recipes.

Photos, graffiti, diverse objects adorning the baroque place, narrow but extremely cozy, have been left there.

This place has been visited by unknown travelers and famous celebrities, such as actor Errol Flynn or who was the president of Chile, Salvador Allende.

This place is ideal to taste the famous daiquiri, sleeping black beans, roasted pork, tostones (twice-fried green plantains) and other dishes that identify the Cubans, and despite the world trends of foods with less fat, those who come to this island try it even once.
