Sancti Spiritus, Cuba, Nov 2 (Prensa Latina) The 16th International Marti Chairs Meeting continues sessions on Friday at the Jose Marti Perez University in Sancti Spiritus in the presence of more than 100 Cuban and foreign academicians.
Participants in this event will exchange until Saturday morning on the dissemination and promotion of the thinking of Cuban National Hero Jose Marti (1853-1895) from the potentialities of the Latin American and Caribbean universities.
Costa Rica, Ecuador, Argentina, Peru, Dominican Republic and Mexico are some of the countries that attend this event, started on Thursday in this central city, about 350 kilometers east of Havana.
Attendees are working in commissions where issues such as ‘Marti’s ideas in the Cuban, Latin American and Caribbean dynamics’ will be discussed.
Another issue will focus on ‘Jose Marti and his work in the contemporary and integrationist political and social movements of Latin America and the Caribbean.’
According to the call to this event, ‘Read in Jose Marti: Challenges in Education and University’ is also among the issues.
The event is attended, among others, by representatives of the Marti Youth Movement and the Jose Marti Cultural Society.
This purpose of this meeting is to generalize the best experiences, to include them in the International Marti Chairs Network.
