Cuban Products, Services Attract Visitors in China’s Tourism Fair

Beijing, Jun 16 (Prensa Latina) Prestigious products and services of the Cuban market attract the attention of visitors and entrepreneurs present at Beijing International Tourism Fair (BITE 2018), a showcase where the island has been successfully participating for years.

After the opening of the event on Friday morning, the stand of the Caribbean country is characterized by being one of the most frequented by the variety and authenticity of its exhibition.

The economic-commercial attaché of the Cuban embassy, Yohanely Savigne, told Prensa Latina that this edition is attended by Gaviota Tourism Group, Habanos S.A., Havana Club International S.A. and Comercializadora de Servicios Médicos Cubanos S.A.

Chinese agencies that have businesses on the island are also part of the representation.

The Cuban stand promotes several travel packages, recognized rum brands such as Havana Club and Mulata, honey and medicines from the BioCubaFarma firm. A cigar roller that prepares before the public famous tobaccos like Cohiba stands out.

‘We have been attending this fair for many years and we have gained strength in participation. There are many expectations, since there are already pre-established appointments with travel agencies, which shows the interest in the Cuban market in Latin America and the Caribbean,’ Savigne said.

In this regard, he referred to the possibility of carrying out important business to increase Chinese tourism to Cuba and getting awards like last year, when the stand won popularity because of the high influx of visitors.

BITE 2018 concludes tomorrow and in addition to Cuba, the international part includes representations of, Russia, Thailand, Cote d’Ivoire and the European Union, among other countries.

Many Chinese companies are also present.
