Havana, mar 31 (Prensa Latina) The Federation of Culinary Associations of the Republic of Cuba (Facrc) announced today that it will participate in the 38th Congress of the World Association of Chefs Societies in Malaysia, in July.
The Facrc President Eddy Fernandez added that such meeting will take place from July 11 to 14, and the Cuban delegation will be made up of Fernández himself and the vice president of Cuban culinary Carlos Otero.
The World Association of Chefs Societies (AMSC), created in 1928, brings together cooking experts from 106 countries, including 41 observers (associates, corporate and young chefs’ club).
Attendees cooperate reciprocally and exchange documentation, and take invitations to participate in culinary events and competitions, among which the cooking Olympics stand out.
Cuban director insisted that the Olympics are real tests of skills for the culinary participants, and contribute to the expansion of knowledge.
Facrc joined the AMSC in 1972, and Cuba was ratified as a full member two years later.
