Cuba Denounces New U.S. Threats against Venezuela

Havana, March 22 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez on Friday denounced the U.S. government’s new threats against Venezuela, which insists on keeping the military intervention scenario alive.

The U.S. persists in its purposes in Venezuela. The economic war is intensifying. It threatens ‘tougher sanctions’. It attacks the country with unconventional methods and insists that ‘all options’ are possible, he warned on Twitter.

Rodriguez assured that the Bolivarian Revolution will resist Washington’s aggression, which experts frame in the interest of seizing oil from the South American country, where the largest established hydrocarbon reserves in the world are recognized.

‘Nothing will work. Bolivarian Venezuela and Chavismo will win,’ he said.

Top U.S. officials in recent days have threatened tougher sanctions while measures were announced against Minerven, the nation’s largest mining company.

For his part, President Donald Trump reiterated that all options remain on the table, leaving in the environment the possibility of militarily attack Venezuela.
