Havana, Nov 26 (Prensa Latina) Scientific methods, techniques and results of teaching engineering and architecture in Cuba and the world are among the issues under discussion today by the 17th Scientific Convention of Engineering and Architecture. The issue to be debated today at a round table is part of the technical program of the Second International Congress of Education in Engineering and Architecture, one of the 15 scientific events of this convention, the major forum of its kind taking place in Cuba.
Many keynote speeches have captured the interest of participants to this meeting, running this week at the Havana’s Conference Center, attended by about 450 experts and researchers from 33 countries, as well as 694 Cubans.
Among oral presentations conforming the scientific program is a keynote speech by Doctor Francisco Javier Mendieta, general director of the Mexican Space Agency, who will talk about the development and prospects of the space sector in that Latin American country.
The aforementioned speech is part of the activities of the Eighth International Congress of Communications and Telematics.
Another keynote speech will be about the impact of software on environment, by Doctor Coral Calero Muñoz, a professor of the University of Castilla-La Mancha, Spain.
The presentation could be seen as part of the Second International Congress on Computer Science and Information Systems.
More than 1,440 works by Cuban and foreign experts and researchers are part of the spectrum of the 17th Scientific Convention of Engineering and Architecture, a forum is in line with the 50th anniversary of the “Jose Antonio Echeverria” University City, founded by the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro.
