ALBA-TCP Condemns US Interference against Progressive Governments

By Cosset Lazo Pérez

Havana, May 14 (Prensa Latina) ALBA-TCP General Secretary David Choquehuanca rejected in this capital the interventionist attitude of the United States government against progressive nations of Latin America and the Caribbean.

We can not accept interference in the internal affairs of Venezuela, Bolivia, Nicaragua and Cuba, said exclusively to Prensa Latina the representative of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP).

Choquehuanca considers that the international crusade led by the president of the United States, Donald Trump, in order to destabilize social projects approved and ratified by the peoples of the region is unacceptable.

‘The U.S. government has taken up postulates of neocolonialism and claims to take over the natural resources of some countries,’ said the Bolivian former foreign minister.

All the peoples of the world have an obligation to defend their sovereignty and decide for themselves how they want to live and not allow others to think for them, added the senior official.
