Agroecology is the Future, Spanish Producers Say in Cuba

Havana, Jun 8 (Prensa Latina) Agroecology is the future of agriculture and the planet, several Spanish producers agreed today, who participated in an international event held in Cuba, which ended this week.

We are six Spanish people attending this forum, from the family company Vega Verde, in Malaga, said Francisco Espinosa, who headed the group also made up of two French people, to Prensa Latina.

Agroecology considers all the integral measures to avoid contamination and to make the products healthier, said Espinosa, who stated that in his country this practice covers two million hectares, with a comprehensive technological system.

This entails more quantity and quality of the products, respecting the environment.

According to Espinosa, the agroecological practice is the solution to correct the lag of the system of intensive cultivation with agrochemicals predominant in the world.
